Visits for ill children are usually scheduled on the day of the appointment, although some special evaluations may benefit by advance scheduling. Please call as early as possible in the day so that we may help you decide if and when an appointment is needed.
In general, visits for well children should be scheduled in advance in order to provide you with the greatest flexibility in scheduling. These health maintenance examinations are the basis of our philosophy of preventive health care. Each visit, as outlined in the insert, includes a complete examination. required immunizations and occasionally laboratory work, with evaluations of speech, hearing and vision and school readiness at appropriate ages.
After age two, examinations for most children should be scheduled every year, although some children with chronic illness, who are taking daily medication or who have special needs, may benefit from more frequent assessments.

Please discuss your child's individual needs with our staff. Special examinations may be needed for camp, sports or work permits. Please schedule these as soon as possible so that we can provide continuity of our preventive health care services to your child.
